Self-Love & Burnout Prevention: Caring for Yourself First

In healthcare, you give so much to others—but don’t forget to give to yourself. Self-love and self-care aren’t luxuries; they’re essential to preventing burnout. Rest isn’t a reward, it’s fuel. Setting boundaries, taking breaks, and checking in with yourself regularly help sustain your passion and energy.

Check out this video on battling burnout by a Calgary-based psychiatrist who specializes in this space. Let’s make 2024 the year of balance, wellness, and resilience! ❤️

Healthcare Hero of the Month: Tiffany Hordyk

This month, we celebrate Tiffany, a dedicated and adventurous travel nurse whose love for exploration and patient care has taken her to incredible places across Canada.

For Daisy, the best part of travel nursing is the variety—working in different hospitals, meeting new people, and experiencing communities she might never have visited otherwise. One of her most memorable moments? An experience in a remote community during COVID, where she has to physically hand off life-saving medication to medical workers arriving by boat—without them even stopping!

Thank you for going above and beyond to truly save lives, Tiffany!
