Tackling the Holiday Blues
While the holidays can be a time of celebration, we recognize they can also be tough for some. If you’re feeling a bit down this season, here are some uplifting ways to find joy and connection:
- Give Back: Volunteer at a local shelter or food bank. Helping others can brighten your mood and theirs.
- FaceTime or Video Calls: Stay connected with family and friends, even if you’re far away.
- Plan Something Special: Organize a little get together such as a pot luck with colleagues, and people you enjoy hanging out with.
- Embrace Local Joy: Explore holiday lights, markets, and events in your area. See our list below for ideas.
- Self-Care: Take time for yourself—whether it’s a relaxing bath, reading a good book, watching a good ole’ holiday movie, or enjoying a favorite holiday treat. Our CEO - Chase’s favorite holiday movie is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation!
Remember, you’re never alone. Reach out to friends, family, or one of our staff, if you need support.
Here’s a list of local events to get you into the festive spirit:

Healthcare Hero of the Month: Tiffany Cook
This month, we are thrilled to celebrate Tiffany Cook as our Healthcare Hero of the Month!
Tiffany’s dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her patients set her apart. Reflecting on her journey, Tiffany shares:
“My mom worked in healthcare, and she's always been an inspiration to me. My first degree was in sciences with a focus on wildlife, but I quickly realized, although I love animals, my true calling is helping people.”
Her ability to connect with patients and provide exceptional care makes Tiffany an invaluable part of our team. Congratulations, Tiffany, and thank you for all that you do!

Holiday Humour
Why did Santa's helper see the doctor?
Because he had low "elf" esteem!
What do you call a snowman with a six-pack?
An abdominal snowman!
Thank you for everything you do. May your holidays be filled with joy, laughter, and a little extra cheer. From all of us at New Horizons Staffing—Happy Holidays!
